Privacy policy
How DSH 2015 Limited trading as Trade Waste collects, uses, protects and shares personal information.
Information we collect
We may collect customer and contact details; delivery and billing addresses; booking, order, waste and access information; WINZ client data; trade application and credit information; correspondence; payment state; and website or device information needed to operate and secure the service.
Why we collect it
We use information to quote, validate addresses, book, deliver, collect, invoice, communicate, operate trade and WINZ processes, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, improve the website and resolve disputes. We collect only information reasonably required for these purposes.
Shopify and payments
Shopify and its payment providers process storefront orders and payment cards. Trade Waste does not receive the full payment card number through the storefront. Shopify's own privacy terms also apply to its processing.
Service providers and disclosures
We may disclose necessary information to address validation, hosting, storage, email, accounting, payment, professional adviser and operational contractor providers. Address suggestions, validation and the embedded service area map use Google Maps Platform. When you type or select a delivery address, the address text and a short lived session identifier are sent to Google for that purpose. Viewing or using the embedded map may also send standard browser, device, network and interaction information to Google. Google's Privacy Policy also applies to its processing. Trade references may be contacted, and reasonable credit, credit reporting or debt recovery checks may occur for trade applications where authorised and lawful. We do not sell personal information.
Overseas processing
Some providers may process information outside New Zealand. We use reasonable contractual, security and provider selection safeguards appropriate to the information and applicable privacy law.
Cookies and website operation
Essential cookies support Shopify storefront operation, cart, checkout, account security and service preferences. Optional analytics or marketing technologies should be used only in accordance with the published consent settings and applicable law.
Security, retention and deletion
We use access controls, encryption for defined sensitive fields, private document storage, audit records and log redaction. Information is retained only for approved business, legal, tax, dispute and security periods, then securely deleted or anonymised. Exact retention periods and provider locations must be approved and maintained in the operational policy.
Access and correction
You may ask whether we hold personal information about you and request access or correction, subject to the Privacy Act 2020. We may verify your identity before responding. Trade applicants may also request correction of credit related information held by Trade Waste.
Marketing choices
You may withdraw from optional marketing at any time. Service, safety, transaction and account communications may still be required to fulfil a booking or legal obligation.
