Where we deliver, how charges are calculated, and what is required for safe placement and collection.

Service area

Trade Waste services approved Christchurch and Selwyn addresses between the Waimakariri and Rakaia Rivers. Banks Peninsula and explicitly excluded locations are outside standard service.

Delivery charges

The standard product price includes delivery in Bands 1 and 2. Band 3 adds $145 and Band 4 adds $450, all including GST. A complete address and four digit postcode are validated against approved service and exclusion areas. The shipping address entered at Shopify checkout is authoritative.

Timing and capacity

Order before 5pm for next business day delivery, subject to availability.
Orders at or after 5pm are eligible from the second business day.
AM or PM is a preference only; exact truck times are not guaranteed.
Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, observed holidays, Canterbury Anniversary Day, Matariki dates and configured closures or blackouts are unavailable.

Access and placement

Disclose gates, narrow driveways, overhead wires or trees, soft or fragile ground and other restrictions.
Provide clear placement instructions and a safe, unobstructed route for the truck.
You are responsible for suitable ground and for surface damage arising from placement or access you request or reasonably accept, except where Trade Waste fails to exercise reasonable care.
Road or council controlled placement requires you to arrange and pay for every required permit before delivery.

Failed visits and waiting

A customer caused failed delivery or pickup is $150. A return visit to move a bin is $150. Waiting time is $25 per ten minutes. Trade Waste may refuse unsafe access or loading and will contact you about any available next step.
